Our Story
The First of Its Kind in West Virginia
Before Lyv's Place, homeless youth in West Virginia had nowhere designed just for them. Adult shelters weren't safe. The streets weren't an option. Young people were falling through the cracks of a system that wasn't built with them in mind.
Lyv's Place was founded in 2024 to change that — built from the ground up as West Virginia's first shelter exclusively for homeless youth. We are a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and every service we provide will always be completely free.
We are not yet open — but we are ready. With the right funding and sponsors, we will provide emergency shelter, meals, counseling, life skills training, and a real path forward for young people who have nowhere else to turn.
